Legacy students participate in Temple College's 86th Commencement
Legacy Early College graduates joined with Temple College graduates in their graduation ceremony on Friday, May 11, 2012. With the traditional "Pomp and Circumstance," students walked through a proud audience of parents, faculty, friends and fellow students to receive the first honor of the spring semester, an associates degree from Temple College. After singing the National Anthem, students were welcomed by Dr. Glenda O. Barron, President of Temple College. The program included the presentation of the class, conferring of degrees, a salute to parents, and then a benediction/blessing by Jacqlyn Paris, a Phi Theta Kappa graduate who earned an Associate of Science degree in Nursing with "High Honor" distinction. The few short but meaningful paragraphs summarized the journey, the hopes and the dreams of all the graduates and reminded them that "...your future has arrived…stand up, step out and live your dream." The benediction text can be viewed by clicking this link.
